The Ghostbusters stamp pack comprises two 8 x $1 sheetlets showing the Hand-prints stamp from the 2016 Love to Celebrate stamp issue. The tabs on the stamps feature classic images from the 1984 movie Ghostbusters.

The cult classic movie Ghostbusters was a critical and commercial success when it was released in 1984, grossing more than US$540 million worldwide. It stars a trio of eccentric para-psychologists – Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz and Egon Spengler – who start a ghost-catching business in a run-down former fire station in New York City. They develop high-tech equipment, which they claim can capture ghosts and deposit them in a special “containment unit” in their basement. Their increasing celebrity and the growing demand for their services eventually require a fourth Ghostbuster, and so Winston Zeddemore is recruited.

Trouble ensues when the Ghostbusters are called to the house of cellist Dana Barrett, whose apartment is haunted by a demonic servant of the evil spirit Gozer. Dana’s neighbour Louis tries to help, but both end up becoming demonically possessed. The Ghostbusters also discover that a mad cult leader, Ivo Shandor, is trying to use Gozer to bring about the end of the world. The plot thickens when the giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man also begins attacking the city! Calm is restored, when our ghost-busting heroes cause an explosion that defeats Gozer and Stay Puft, showering marshmallow all over the city. The Ghostbusters are welcomed on the street as heroes.

Featured in the stamp tabs are:
Slimer is a translucent green blob creature
Dana Barrett
Louis Tully
Ghost trap
Raymond Stantz
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
Egon Spengler
The Ectomobile, or Ecto–1 (Ghostbusters car)
